Mid-Prairie's Hall and Shalla receive All-CVC accolades

A pair of Mid-Prairie players were honored when the All-Cedar Valley Conference boys? basketball teams were released recently.

Junior Dayton Hall was selected to the all-conference first team after leading the Golden Hawks to a fifth-place finish in the CVC with a 6-8 record. Hall, a 5-foot-11 point guard, was among the league leaders in several categories. He led the conference in steals (49), ranked 11

in scoring (11.6 points per game) and was fourth in 3-point percentage (40.3). He also led the Golden Hawks in assists in conference play, averaging 2.3 per game.

Junior Spencer Shalla earned all-conference honorable mention for the Golden Hawks. The 6-foot-3 forward only averaged 3.4 points per game during the conference season, but his rebounding earned him honorable mention. He averaged 6.8 rebounds per game, good for the seventh-best clip in the league. He also tallied 17 assists and 15 steals in conference games.
