Mid-Prairie's Owens earns second team All-CVC honors
The Mid-Prairie boys? golf team finished last out of eight teams at the Cedar Valley Conference tournament at the Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon on Tuesday.

Junior Trever Owens shot a 10-over-par 82 to lead the Golden Hawks and earn second team all-conference honors. Sophomore Devon Young added an 86, and freshman Paul Hawbaker carded a 91. Senior Tyler Davis had a 95 to round out the scoring. Junior Gabe Miezcnikowski shot a 111, and sophomore Grant Schlabaugh had a 114.
Mid-Prairie will travel to Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington on Friday for a Class 2A sectional tournament, which will begin at 9:30 a.m.
