Mid-Prairie's rally at Regina falls short
For the second time in as many games, ninth-ranked Mid-Prairie dug itself too big of a hole. The Golden Hawks? rally fell short, and Mid-Prairie lost at Iowa City Regina 54-51 on Friday night.
Mid-Prairie (2-2, 1-2 Cedar Valley Conference) trailed the Regals by as many as 16 points midway through the third quarter before out-scoring Regina 25-9 over the game?s final 12 minutes.

?This was a tough loss, ? Mid-Prairie head coach Marc Pennington said. ?We made a nice charge late in the game, but had a couple of mental lapses that hurt.?
Senior Erika Murphy scored 16 points to lead the Golden Hawks, and senior Mariah Swartzentruber added 15. Senior Mallory McArtor chipped in 11 points.
Junior Jenna Lehman scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Regals (5-0, 4-0 CVC).
