Middle school boys track results

Washington's middle school boys track teams competed in a number of events recently but most notable was Ethan Patterson's high jump of 5 feet, 11 inches at the Ottumwa Invite Thursday.
The feat breaks the previous eighth-grade record of 5-10 that was set by Jake Redlinger in 2008.
Ottumwa won the meet with 104 points and Washington was second at 86.
Patterson also won the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.1 seconds and the 400 in 55.84.
Julian Marcelino was the fastest 800 runner, finishing in 2 minutes, 23.44 seconds. He was on the winning 4x800 meter relay (10:13.95) with Austin Rebling, Aidan Muff and Cameron Vonpongya. Brayden Hartman won the discus with a toss of 101 feet.
Vonpongya was second in the 1600 in 5:46.25. Tristan Miller took second in the 100 hurdles in 15.3, fourth in the 200 hurdles at 30.86 and fourth in the long jump at 15-2. The 4x2 (Marcelino, Tucker Graff, James Strabala and Rebling) was second with a time of 1:49.36. The shuttle hurdle relay team was second in 1:10.2 with Clayton Streeter, Graff, Strabala, and Miller.
The 4x1 (Colley Billingsly, Strabala, Graff, rebling in 55.57) and the 4x4 (Aden Six, Keaton Crawford, Vonpongya, Patterson in 4:16.41) each placed fourth.
Strabala was fifth in the long jump at 15-2 and the distance medley (Jude Brown, Billingsly, Streeter and Crawford) was fifth in 4:52.9.
Billingsly, Crawford, Streeter and Muff were sixth in the distance medley in 2:12.39. Avery Six was sixth in the discus (73-10).
The seventh grade boys were third at Ottumwa with 71 points.
The sprint medley team of Andrew Starr, Marvelle Johnson, Brennen Westphal and Rickey were first with a time of 2:09.1.
Lukus Rickey was first in the shot at 30-1.5 and Teague Mayer was fifth at 26-10.
The 4x4 was second in 4:34 with Alec Ulin, Brayan Arreola, Colben Reighard and Rickey.
The shuttle hurdle team of Angel Mata, Arreola, Luke Beenblossom and Reighard placed second in 1:23.58.
Ulin was second in the 400 in 1:04.5 and Rickey fourth at 1:07.73.
The distance medley was third in 5:14.93 with Westphal, Johnson, Angel Mata and Lane Schrock.
In the discus, Reighard took third at 75-9 and Mayer was fourth at 71-10.
The 4x8 team of Micah Rees, Isaiah Morris, Will Gilchrist-Brock and Kael Malichky placed fourth in 13:28.
Starr, Arreola, Schrock and Morris ran a 2:10.28 to take third in the 4x2.
Beenblossom's time of 6:15 in the 1600 was third.
Reighard ran to fourth in the 100 hurdles in 19.67.
Mata was third in the 200 hurdles in 35.48 and Beenblossom fourth at 35.69.
Ulin ran the 800 in 2:41 to place third.
The 4x100 of Starr, Westphal, Johnson and Mata ran 59.53 to place fourth.
The seventh grade was fourth at Mt. Pleasant April 5 with 86 points.
Winners at that meet were Reighard in the discus at 84-0 and the sprint medley with Starr, Reighard, Westphal and Rickey in 2:08.39.
Second places were the shuttle hurdle of Mata, Arreola, Beenblossom, Johnson in 1:20.99 and the 4x4 with Ulin, Arreola, Mata and Rickey in 4:40.2.
Third places were Mata in the 200 hurdles in 37.55, Reighard in the 100 hurdles in 20.31 and the 4x2 with Reighard, Westphal, Starr and Arreola in 2:00.53.
