Mid-Prairie High School has lost the services of its head volleyball coach.
Cindy Miller has decided to step away from her position at the helm of the Golden Hawks volleyball program.
Miller released a statement in an email to the Washington Evening Journal Thursday.
'As the head volleyball coach for the past six years at Mid-Prairie, I've enjoyed my experiences, the friendships I've made, and loads of great memories, but I felt the time has come for my family and professional obligations to come first. I have decided to retire and step down from my current position as head coach effective the end of this season.
'I want to thank everyone that I have worked alongside these past years, especially the middle school coaches and the wonderful volunteers who made our home game nights possible by keeping the book, running the clock and line judging, area coaches for a listening ear and coordinating offseason events, the media for your patience with me while covering our program and making us feel important.
'I will miss coaching but have many things on my bucket list yet to accomplish and can't wait to get started.
'As always ‘Go Hawks.'”
Miller had a 59-107 overall record.
