Millikin, Sathoff on all-state and all-district teams

Pekin senior Cody Millikin has been named to the Class 2A third team all-state basketball team the Iowa Newspaper Association announced Tuesday.

Millikin was selected as a frontcourt player after averaging 14.3 points per game and pulling down nearly 200 rebounds this season for the Panthers. Millikin shot just under 55 percent from the field as he help Pekin to a 20-4 overall record and a second place finish in the SEISC North Division at 16-2.

The three year starter has two first team all-conference selections to his name after helping Pekin to a 54-15 record in his four seasons.

Along with Millikin, freshman Trey Sathoff was selected by the Iowa Coaches Basketball Association to the all-district substate #5 team. Sathoff led the Panthers with 14.5 points per game and recorded 5.4 rebounds per contest.
