Mini-Sprint Trail Triathlon set for Aug. 4

A Mini-Sprint Trail Triathlon, presented by the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department, will be held Aug. 4.

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. with the race to get under way at approximately 9 a.m. from Waterworks Park.

The race will be broken up into a 250-yard swim, 6-mile bike ride and 1.3-mile run.

Anyone 14 years of age and older may participate, with individual divisions split up into six age groups and relay divisions split into four age groups. Awards will be given to the first male and female of each age group as well as the first-place relay team in each group.

Cost is $35 per individual and $55 per relay team. Participants must provide their own bikes and helmets.

Preregistration to include a free T-shirt must be done by July 25. Registration may be done online at www.fairfieldparksandrec.com.
