Mitchell wins at Waldorf
Blake Mitchell had a strong day on the links on Sunday, taking medalist honors at the Waldorf College Invitational to lead Iowa Wesleyan College men?s golf to a third-place team finish.
Mitchell shot a round of 70, beating Central College's Mike Maller by one stroke and take the individual title. As a team, the Tigers shot a 309, finishing just four strokes behind Central College, which won the team title.

Mitchell shot a round of 70, beating Central College's Mike Maller by one stroke and take the individual title. As a team, the Tigers shot a 309, finishing just four strokes behind Central College, which won the team title.
Waldorf finished in between for second place, shooting a 307.
IWC?s Patrick Zielinski shot a 75 to tie for fifth overall. Trent Hoekstra and Tanner Travis each shot an 82, finishing in a tie for 18th overall.
Michael Neff shot 84 to place in a tie for 21st. IWC's Zac Cronkhite competed as an individual, shooting a round of 80 to tie for 12th on the day.
The Tigers play again Oct. 11-12 when they compete at the William Penn Invitational in Oskaloosa.
