MP boys beat Fairfield, Keokuk, Edward Stone
The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade boys? basketball ?A? team came up with recent wins over Fairfield, Keokuk and Edward Stone (Burlington).
The Panthers defeated Fairfield last week by a score of 25-20, led by Zach Ebeling?s seven points. Patrick Canby scored six points for Mt. Pleasant, while Brock Wilson and Ryan Moutrie chipped in four points apiece.

The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade boys? basketball ?A? team came up with recent wins over Fairfield, Keokuk and Edward Stone (Burlington).
The Panthers defeated Fairfield last week by a score of 25-20, led by Zach Ebeling?s seven points. Patrick Canby scored six points for Mt. Pleasant, while Brock Wilson and Ryan Moutrie chipped in four points apiece.
The ?B? team was defeated by Fairfield, 17-11. Tyler Davis and Gavin Christner scored four points each in the loss.
In the ?C? game against the Trojans, the teams tied, 13-13. Jared Holdefer scored nine points for Mt. Pleasant.
When the Panthers took on Keokuk Monday, the Mt. Pleasant A team came out on top of a 31-24 decision.
Brock Wilson broke into double figures with 10 points. Canby and Ebeling scored eight points each. Trevor Mabeus put up three points and Jacob Feldman added two.
In the B game against the Chiefs, Mt. Pleasant fell by a score of 18-14. Ben Zihlman scored five for Mt. Pleasant and Jack Pieper tallied three points.
The Panthers also lost the C game, 14-6. Holdefer, Adam Bodenham and Reece McNamee scored two points each.
The Panthers were back on the court Tuesday, when the A team defeated Edward Stone, 36-20. Canby and Ebeling scored 12 points each to lead the Panthers, followed by Wilson with eight points.
The B team fell to Edward Stone, 41-16. Zihlman and Nolan Quade had four points each.
Edward Stone also won the C game, 20-10. Holdefer and McNamee had four points each for Mt. Pleasant in that contest, and Bodenham scored two.
The Panthers play again tonight (Thursday), when they host Aldo Leopold (Burlington) at 4:30 p.m.
