MP freshmen, JV boys play Demons
JV boys
The Panther JV boys? basketball team defeated Washington, 44-39, on Jan. 6, improving their record to 7-2.

Rodgers noted Zach Schmitz and Aaron Kelly, who had three steals each.
?Nike Phillips, Logan Mulford and Colton Schinstock also came in at different times and played with a lot of energy,? Rodgers said.
Zach Mulford led all scorers with 10 points, which he scored in the second half. Seven other players tallied points, including Tyler Pace and Carson Remick with eight and seven, respectively.
Trey Magnani had four assists.
Pace grabbed 15 rebounds, followed by Dustin Amos with nine.
Freshman boys
The Mt. Pleasant freshmen struggled in their Friday night contest with Washington, dropping the conference game by a score of 52-36.
Ben Canby had a team-high 10 points in the loss. Marcus Moothart scored eight, while Spencer White and Kolby Raymond each tallied five.
After another loss on Saturday, this time to Burlington, and then a win against Mid Prairie on Monday night, the freshmen team is 3-5 on the season.
Both the freshmen and JV boys will play Friday when Mt. Pleasant hosts Fairfield, starting with the freshmen at 4:45 p.m.
