MP girls dealt first season loss
The Mt. Pleasant seventh-grade girls? basketball ?A? team was dealt its first loss this week, falling to Keokuk by a score of 45-28 on Monday.
They came back with a win over Edward Stone (Burlington) on Tuesday, 38-21, to bring their record to 5-1.
Against Keokuk, the Panthers were led by Kalynn Batey?s 19 points. Ashlee Menke added five, while Jackie Fraise and Delaney McDowell chipped in two points apiece.

The Mt. Pleasant seventh-grade girls? basketball ?A? team was dealt its first loss this week, falling to Keokuk by a score of 45-28 on Monday.
They came back with a win over Edward Stone (Burlington) on Tuesday, 38-21, to bring their record to 5-1.
Against Keokuk, the Panthers were led by Kalynn Batey?s 19 points. Ashlee Menke added five, while Jackie Fraise and Delaney McDowell chipped in two points apiece.
The Panthers also lost the ?B? game against Keokuk, this time by a score of 26-12.
Sarah Lanphier had four points, in that game, and Sydni Wilson, Kinsey Bruggemeyer and Brianna Bowman scored two points each.
In the win over Edward Stone, Batey once again led the Panthers, putting up 16 points. Menke and Taylor Murray scored eight each, while Fraise and McDowell added two apiece. Audrey Barnes scored one point.
The B team, now 3-3 on the season, lost to Edward Stone, 17-0, in a half game.
The Panthers will play again tonight (Thursday) at Edward Stone, starting at 4:30 p.m.
