MP girls lose on road

KEOKUK - The Mt. Pleasant girls basketball team couldn't solve Keokuk in a Southeast Conference raod game on Friday night. The Chiefs stayed unbeaten in conference play by knockoing off the Panthers 47-24.
Keokuk jumped out to a 17-5 lead after the first quarter and led 28-12 at halftime. Mt. Pleasant stuck with Keokuk better in the second half, but the damage had been done.
Isabel Ashton led Mt. Pleasant with five points in the loss. Elli Liechty, Lydia Stewart and Andrea Lopreato had four points each.
Sydni Coleman scored three points. Emma Huckabone ended the night with two. Kenna Lamma dn Emma Rugg each scored one.
Mt. Pleasant fell to 1-4 overall with the loss. They are 1-1 in the SEC.
