Erin Watt scored midway through the second half before Long scored again with eight minutes to play, wrapping up the win for Mt. Pleasant.
"The passing and ball control of the team was very good tonight, led by midfielder Sarah Pieper. The defense of DeAnn Scott, Leah Boughton, Hannah LeBlanc, Mila Argueta and Kathryn Chabal also had another fine match by allowing only three shots on goal," said coach Ed Chabal.
Goal keeper Lauren Hillman recorded her fourth shutout of the year in the win.
Mt. Pleasant travels to the West Liberty tournament on Saturday, followed by another game on the road at Clear Creek-Amana on Monday, May 16.
