MP girls take 1st at Panther Relays

MT. PLEASANT — Mapleleaf Athletic Complex played host to a handful of area teams for the Panthers’ co-ed relays. The stars of the night were the Mt. Pleasant girls, who scored 129.5 points to take him the top prize.
The Panther girls had three wins on the night. Alex Scott won both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, and the 4X200-meter relay team crossed first as well.
Mt. Pleasant had one win on the boys’ side. Avin Truong took first place in the long jump.
Washington had two winners on the day, both on the boys’ side. The Demon distance medley team took first, and Greyson Hartman won the shot put.
It was a big day for the Pekin Panthers. Pekin had three wins on the boys’ side, with both the 4X200 and 4X800 team winning, as well as Riley Smith taking first place in the 400-meter hurdles, and Kasey Davis winning the 110-meter high hurdles.
The Pekin girls won two field events. Kasey Miller won the high jump, and Anna Hadley took first in the discus.
