MP girls win Burlington triangular

BURLINGTON - The Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team stayed hot on Monday, winning another meet. The Panthers were in Burlington, where they took out Muscatine as well as the hosting Grayhounds.
Mt. Pleasant finished the triangular with a final score of 201. Muscatine took second place with a 226, and Burlington scored 229 for third.
Elli and Anni Liechty led the way again for Mt. Pleasant. Elli led the Panthers with a final stroke count of 45, and Anni finished at 47.
Melody Miller shot a 54 for third on the team. Michal Wohlleber was the final scorer for Mt. Pleasant, shooting a 55.
Alex Gerling finished the day at 59. Grace Sheetz was sixth on the team with a 62, and Sami Wibben finished one stroke behind Sheetz with a 63.
Mt. Pleasant will have a week to rest before their next meet. They will travel down to Keokuk on Monday, April 15, for a triangular with Oskaloosa and the hosting Chiefs.
