Fedler wins at Statewide Cross-Country meet; Panthers 8th in team standings

ANKENY - The 31st Annual Dick Washburn Statewide Cross-Country meet hosted by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches was held Saturday, October 19th in Ankeny. The meet hosts 7th and 8th grade boys and girls cross country athletes from 1A - 4A, amongst them are the states top junior high runners.
Mt. Pleasant had five girls compete in the 3A division. Overall, they placed 8th as a team, led by 8th grader Avery Fedler.
Fedler won the 3A division with a personal best time of 11:21.8 breaking the 2015 course record of 11:36. Elodie Rawson ran a personal best of 12:46.4 and placed 12th. Sofia Holl ran her fastest time of the year coming in at 13:50.1 and placing 41st. Danielle Wagner came in 73rd posting a time of 14:54.6 and Claire Johnson finished with a time of 15:26.7 placing 81st
