MP seventh-grade volleyball ends season against Demons
The Mt. Pleasant seventh-grade volleyball team lost its ?A? and ?B? matches to Washington on Monday, but won the ?C? and ?D? matches against the Demons.
The A team lost by a scores of 21-16 and 18-10. Callie De Priest went 4-for-4 serving with an ace. Keelyn McNamee also had an ace on 3-for-3 serving.
The B team fell by scores of 21-18 and 21-19.

The A team lost by a scores of 21-16 and 18-10. Callie De Priest went 4-for-4 serving with an ace. Keelyn McNamee also had an ace on 3-for-3 serving.
The B team fell by scores of 21-18 and 21-19.
Hallie Sandeen was 11-for-12 with two aces. Grace Bittle served two aces and went 4-for-5 on the day. Emme Kraus and Sadie Carrasco had one ace each.
In the C match, Mt. Pleasant won by scores of 21-15 and 22-20.
Maddie Van De Berg went 13-for-16 with nine aces. Johna Eads had three aces on 7-for-10 serving and Emma Garmoe had two aces on 4-for-5 serving.
In the D match, Mt. Pleasant won by scores of 21-18 and 21-13.
Zaleigh Smith was 11-for-12 serving with five aces.
Medow Jensen went 7-for-8 serving with four aces. Tylisa Kelley had two aces on 5-for-6 serving and Zoe Runyon served one ace. She went 2-for-4 on the day.
The seventh-grade team also played two games last week ? against Fairfield and Edward Stone.
Mt. Pleasant was swept by Fairfield. The A team lost (21-8, 21-8); the B team lost (21-10, 21-12); and the C team lost (21-10, 21-2).
McNamee served 6-for-7 with an ace for the A team. Mikayla Cam went 5-for-6 with two aces.
In the B match, Bittle went 5-for-7 with three aces. Katelyn Gardner was a perfect 4-for-4; Carlson Miller was 3-for-3 and Melissa Romine was 2-for-2.
In the C match, Breanna Hill went 2-for-2 serving and Garmoe was 2-for-3.
Against Edward Stone, the Mt. Pleasant team won the A match in three sets. They lost the first, 21-15, but came back to win the next two, 21-18 and 16-14.
McNamee went a perfect 11-for-11 with an ace, and Cam was 11-for-12 with four aces. Cara Canby served 11-for-12 with three aces, while Sami Decker was 7-for-7 and Hannah Hess was 4-for-4.
The B team split its match, losing the first by a score of 21-6 and coming back for a narrow win in game two, 22-20.
Carrasco was a perfect 8-for-8 with two aces and Emmallee Stewart was 6-for-7 with two aces.
The C team fell, 17-15 and 15-11.
Van De Berg was 8-for-9 with four aces, while Breanna Hill had two aces on 4-for-4 serving and Eads went 4-for-5 with an ace.
In the D match, Mt. Pleasant won both games by a score of 15-9.
Smith was 9-for-10 with seven aces. Kelly went 6-for-7 with four aces and Rachel Kuckes was 4-for-5 with three aces.
