BURLINGTON — It was a marquee night in Southeast Conference boys soccer on Thursday, as Mt. Pleasant put its unbeaten record on the line against Burlington, with a shot to lock up the schoo's first championship since 2013.
Needing to beat or tie the Grayhounds to clinch, the Panthers played one of their best defensive games of the season, notching their fourth-straight shut out in a 4-0 victory.
The Panthers scored one goal in each half. Asa Rose and Akbar Wilson both put the ball in the back of the net, as Mt. Pleasant capitalized on 12 shots on goal in the contest.
