MP splits with Ottumwa

The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade volleyball ?A? team fell in its opening matches to Ottumwa last week by identical scores of 21-16.

The ?B? team split with Ottumwa, losing the first game, 21-9, but coming back to win 21-18; the ?C? team picked up a win by matching scores of 21-18.

Mt. Pleasant also split the ?D? match with Ottumwa, losing a close first game by a score of 22-20, but running away with the second game, 21-3.

In the A match, Dani Broeker was a perfect 10-for-10 serving, while Ashley Menke went 8-for-8.

Ashley DeKraai led the team with 8-for-10 serving in the B match.

In the C match, Julia Pross was a perfect 17-for-17 serving and Keri Herr was 7-for-7.

Nicole Schlatter was 13-for-14 serving in the D match.
