MP wrestlers go 2-2 at Nike Invite

BURLINGTON - The Mt. Pleasant wrestling team split four duals at the Nike Invitational on Friday. Mt. Pleasant picked up wins over Highland and Louisa-Muscatine, beating the Huskies 36-34 and taking down the Falcons 48-33. Notre Dame upended Mt. Pleasant 48-30 and Pekin won a battle of Panthers 45-36.

It was Mt. Pleasant's first meet of 2020. The Panthers have a slow beginning of the new year with a 15-day rest before their next action, the Centerville Big Red Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 18.
