MPCHS trap team receives local donation
The Henry County Whitetails Unlimited group donated $1,200 to the Mt. Pleasant Community High School trap shooting team.
The team was started last year by John Klopfenstein, and 20 students joined. Klopfenstein was the head coach, assisted by Mike Vens.

The team was started last year by John Klopfenstein, and 20 students joined. Klopfenstein was the head coach, assisted by Mike Vens.
The trapshooters competed during the spring season in the Junior Varsity division and won the state championship. The team then continued practicing and competing during the summer, after the season had officially ended.
The team used the money to purchase shells for practice. The MPCHS team is not funded by the school district.
