MP’s Auwerda named SEC POY
Southeast Conference releases 2023 All-Conference soccer squads

The Southeast Conference released its 2023 All-Conference teams earlier this week, and Mt. Pleasant sophomore Charice Auwerda was named conference player of the year.
Auwerda, in her second season with the Panthers, coled the team with 24 goals and 18 assists. That helped Mt. Pleasant finish third in the conference with a 6-4 record.
Auwerda was one of four Panther girls to make the All-SEC team. Washington had three players named, and Fairfield had one.
On the boys’ side, Washington had four players named, Fairfield had three, and Mt. Pleasant had two.

Burlington: Hunter Pender (10), Kevynn Siefken (11), Jenna Hentzel (11), Josephine Blazic (11), Megan Hollerauer (11) and Emma Roher (10).
Fairfield: Savannah Hollander (11).
