MSAE beats Burlington
The Maharishi School boys? tennis team ripped through Burlington by a final tally of 8-1 on its home courts Tuesday.
The Pioneer blazed through singles matches, winning five of six before sweeping through doubles. Singles winners included Sam Arsanjani, Thomas Weiss, Derek Thatcher and Raphael Gelfand at 1-4 and first-time varsity player David Fleshman at No. 6.

The Pioneer blazed through singles matches, winning five of six before sweeping through doubles. Singles winners included Sam Arsanjani, Thomas Weiss, Derek Thatcher and Raphael Gelfand at 1-4 and first-time varsity player David Fleshman at No. 6.
Another new face, Surya Sawhney, joined Fleshman for a win at No. 3 doubles.
Next up for MSAE is a tough test back at home against Iowa City High Thursday before hosting the Pioneer Invitational Saturday.
