Mt. Pleasant baseball ends regular season with a loss
Panthers fall at No. 4 Solon, will start tournament play on Friday

SOLON — The regular season came to an end for the Mt. Pleasant baseball team on Monday night. The Panthers fell 8-2 at No. 4 Solon.
Carter Amos led Mt. Pleasant with a double and an RBI in the loss. Trevor Wellington, Chase Williamson and Colton Hutson all had singles.
Will Edeker threw 1 2/3 innings in the loss, giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits and six walks. Jake Ensminger gave up three runs on four hits and two walks over 1 2/3 innings, while striking out two. Jack Johnson pitched 1 2/3 frames, giving up no runs on one hit and three walks.
Mt. Pleasant ended the regular season at 7-24. They will travel to No. 9 Fort Madison (23-7) on Friday for the Class 3A Substate 4 quarterfinals.
