Panther boys and girls suffer losses to Bloodhounds

Mt. Pleasant boys and girls soccer both had a tough showing against Fort Madison on Monday night.
The Panther boys suffered their first Southeast Conference loss of the season with a 4-2 final. The girls were bested by the Bloodhounds 6-3.
In the boys’ game all six goals were scored in the second half. Mt. Pleasant got goals from senior Samuel Schaapen and junior Dylan White, but the Panther’s couldn’t slow Fort Madison’s pressure on the offensive end.
The Bloodhounds got two goals from Connor Horn and a pair of assists from Henry Graham.
In goal, Xachary LeBlanc notched four saves.
In the girls’ contest, Fort Madison put together an offensive master class, scoring three goals in each half. Teagan Snaadt led Fort Madison with a hatrick and two assists.
Mt. Pleasant scored three themselves in the second half.
