Mt. Pleasant boys 2nd, girls 3rd at Tulip Time Relays

PELLA — The Mt. Pleasant track and field teams traveled northwest to compete in Pella’s Tulip Time Relays on Thursday. The Panther boys scored 104 points to sneak into second place, and the girls were third with 113.
The Panthers had three wins on the day, two on the girls side and one on the boys side.
The Mt. Pleasant girls shuttle hurdle team of Josie Gilmore, Jenna Gilmore, Kenna Lamm and Karsyn Lamm took first, winning in 1:10.54. Jadan Brumbaugh won the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 7 inches.
Bryce Wilson had the lone win on the boys side. He finished first in the 110-meter high hurdles, crossing the tape in 15.20 seconds.
The hosting Pella Dutch won both the girls and boys team races.
