Mt. Pleasant boys' golf runners up to Washington in season opener

The Mt. Pleasant boys' golf team opened its 2011 season with a second place finish at Washington, 161-184.

Mt. Pleasant's Aaron Schleisman and Ross Heitmeier each shot a 45 to lead the varsity team as Washington's Joseph Harris shot a two under par 33 to win medalist.

Sully Dameron's 48 led the JV team, while Dustin Higginbotham shot a 49 over the nine-hole, par 35 course. Washington also won the JV match, 187-201.

Mt. Pleasant travels to Fort Madison on Thursday, April 14, for a match starting at 4 p.m.
