CEDAR FALLS - The Mt. Pleasant boys' track and field team started up their 2019 season on Tuesday night, running at the Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls. The Panthers finished the day with six top-20 finishes including one in the top 10.
Rylan Seberg had the best result of the day for the Panthers. He finished the 400-meter dash in seventh place, crossing in 23.01 seconds. Khang Truong just missed out on the top 10 in the 200-meter dash, finishing 11th in 23.75 seconds.
The 4X400 team of Chase Lamm, Jacob Stukerjurgen, Brody Bender and Rylan Seberg finished 12th. They crossed the tape in 3:40.68. The 4X200 team of Truong, Seberg, Tucker Johnson and Tate Shull was 13th, in 1:37.48.
Henry Lutovsky picked up a top-15 finish in the shot put. Lutovsky threw a 46-6.5 to finish 15th. Lamm just cracked the top 20 finish in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 8.91 seconds.
Mt. Pleasant had a handful of other top 50 finishes. Truong ran the 60-meter dash in 7.32 seconds for 23rd. McQuiggin threw a 43-10.5 shot put for 26th. Stukerjurgen finished the 400-meter dash in 28th, at 54.61 seconds. Cooper Pullis was 43rd in the shot put, throwing 42-2.25. Bender finished 47th in the 400-meter dash with a final time of 55.85 seconds. The 4X800 team of Jaden Davis, Dylon Hagans, Drake Snavely and Thad Brooks finished 50th, in 9:45.04.
The Panther boys will be back on the tracks at the Central College invite on Friday, March 15.
