MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant boys soccer team just couldn’t find the back of the net on Monday at East Lake Park. The Panthers fell 3-0 to visiting Burlington, the second loss to the Grayhounds this season.
Burlington led 1-0 at halftime and added two more in the second half.
The Panthers had just four shots on the day, two of which were on goal. Dillon Malone and Rumaldo Motta Rivera each had two shots and one shot on goal.
Panther keeper Logan Lee spent all 80 minutes in net. He saved 10 of the 13 shots he faced.
Two of Burlington’s goals came from junior Brian Velazquez. One came off the foot of sophomore Christian Snyder.
