MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant cross-country team gave out its end-of-season awards to conclude the 2021 season. The Panthers had both the boys’ team and the girls’ team in attendance to reflect on the season.
The Most Valuable awards were given to senior Abby Blint on the girls’ side and sophomore Ben Carthey on the boys’ side. Blint won the Southeast Conference girls race this year and Carthey placed sixth on the boys’ side, the top Panther in that race.
Most Improved Panther awards were given to senior Jenna Gilmore on the girls’ side and sophomore Coleman Mowery on the boys’ side. Newcomer awards were given to freshman Alexis Wagner for girls and junior Christian Bracht-Wagner for boys. Senior Nathan McWilliams won the Panther award.
