Mt. Pleasant eighth grade volleyball hosts Washington
The Mt. Pleasant eighth grade volleyball team hosted Washington last night. The ?A? team fell to the Demons in a three-set match while the ?B? and ?C? teams each split a pair of games with the visitors.
In the A match, Washington won the first game, 21-6. Mt. Pleasant came back in game two for a 21-19 win, but the deciding set ended in Washington?s favor, 15-6. The Mt. Pleasant A team falls to 3-5 on the season.

In the A match, Washington won the first game, 21-6. Mt. Pleasant came back in game two for a 21-19 win, but the deciding set ended in Washington?s favor, 15-6. The Mt. Pleasant A team falls to 3-5 on the season.
In the match, Bailey Johnson went a perfect eight-for-eight from the service line. Leah Johnson was seven-for-eight, and Ryen Chrissinger was six-for-seven. Rylee Amos was four-for-four.
In the B match, Washington again took the first set, 21-11, but Mt. Pleasant answered with a win in game two, 22-20.
Emma Overton was 11-for-12 serving. Kirstin Smith was seven-for-nine and Alyvia Anderson was four-for-four.
The Mt. Pleasnt B team is now 0-4-4.
In the C match, it was Mt. Pleasant that came out ahead after winning game one, 21-10, but fell in the second set, 21-6, for another split. The Panthers? C team is 0-5-3 on the season.
Lauren Brousseau was a perfect 15-for-15 in serving and Brooklyn Fraise was six-for-seven.
The team will play at Ottumwa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
