The new Iowa High School Athletic Association boys basketball rankings are out, and there was a new team invited to the Top-10 table.
Mt. Pleasant made its season debut in the rankings. After jumping out to a 14-3 record with nine-straight wins, the Panthers are now No. 9 in Class 3A.

Mt. Pleasant sits ahead of Humboldt in the rankings, and below Charles City. The current No. 1 team in Class 3A is undefeated Bondurant-Farrar.
WACO hangs in at No. 4 in Class 1A. The Warriors are one of four unbeaten teams in the Class 1A rankings, including No. 1 Grand View Christian. Gladbrook-Reinbeck, which sits right above WACO at No. 3, has one loss.
The new rankings are of great importance with the IHSAA postseason substate brackets being rolled out over the next couple of weeks.
