Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield go one and two in Fort Madison
Panthers and Trojans take the top two spots in the Timm Lamb Pen City Relays

FORT MADISON — It was a great day on the track for the Southeast Conference on Tuesday as Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield finished first and second with scores of 165 and 132, respectively, in the 45th Annual Timm Lamb Pen City Relays.
Washington also had a nice outing, taking fourth in the meet with 88 points.
Mt. Pleasant walked away with six wins on the day, including a meet record.
For Mt. Pleasant, Jadan Brumbaugh added another shot put win to her record, throwing a 46-02 for first. With the throw, Brumbaugh also broke a meet record that had been in place since 2006.
Abby Blint picked up a win in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:45.82.
Elsie Lange cruised to a win in the. 400-meter dash, posting a time of 1:05.24. Lange also grabbed 10 points for Panthers in long jump, leaping 14-11.25 for the top spot.
Mica Carter, Lange, Tristian Shull and Blint finished atop the boards in the 4x400 with a time of 4:33.32
The Panthers were also victorious in the sprint medley with Bailey Jalas, Shull, Kenna Lamm and Andi Scott running a 1:57.58.
Fairfield also had a stellar day on the track, grabbing wins in five events.
Kelsey Pacha broke herself a meet record in the 400-meter hurdles, posting a time of 1:06.50 and besting the previous record by nine hundredths of a second.
With a time of 15.60, Anna Dunlap was a first place finisher in the 100-meter hurdles.
In the 800-meter run Maddie Jones finished with 10 points, running a 2:33.60 for the win.
Fairfield continued to dominate the hurdles, with Dunlap, Maya Lane, Mallory Lyon and Pacha clearing the field in the 4x100 shuttle hurdle relay with a 1:07.06.
Jones, Addison Ferrel, Carley Seeley and Ashlyn Lisk won the 4x800 with a time of 11:09.60.
Washington finished with two winners.
Quincy Griffis cross the finish line with a time of 5:37.40 in the 1500-meter run for first overall.
Washington’s distance medley crew of Nevaeh Brown, Ada Kendall, Eden Levetzow and Abigail Kleese finished with a time of 4:40.00 for the top spot.
Cardinal, Winfield-Mt. Union and Van Buren all competed in the event as well.
The Comets of Cardinal ended the meet with two event winners.
Cardinal’s Makenna Chickering was a first place finisher in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line with a time of 13.80.
Allie Cloke won the discus throw with a toss of 106-05.
Winfield had a nice showing, ending with three winners.
Keetyn Townsley was a winner in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing the tape with a 17.22.
Following the throwing of the shot put, the Wolves’ Jobey Malone stood atop the leader boards with a 35-10.00.
Annabelle Loveless, Mariana Hagmeier, Aurey Meeker and Tessa Huston were winners in the sprint medley, posting a time of 2:05.65.
Van Buren County had no winner on the day, but still competed well.
