Mt. Pleasant football shut out by No. 6 Williamsburg in season closer
WILLIAMSBURG ? Class 3A No. 6 Williamsburg scored 14 points in the first quarter and added 21 points in the second.
That?s all the Raiders would need to claim a Week 9 victory over Mt. Pleasant, 35-0, and finish their undefeated run against District 7 teams.
The Panthers gained 107 yards rushing in the game and had 102 yards passing, but couldn?t get into the end zone in their final contest of the season.

Connor Shull was nine-of-19 passing for 102 yards, and he also gained 41 yards on the ground on the night.
Dalton Conrad caught five passes for 53 yards to lead Panthers receivers.
Alex O?Donnell had two catches for 29 yards; Dustin Amos had an 18-yard catch and Justin Dilks had a two-yard catch.
On defense, Shull and Justin Dunn each recorded a sack.
Carson Remick had a team-high 11 tackles. Tony Cristoforo had seven tackles and Dilks had six.
Cristoforo and Colton Aplara each had an interception.
The Panthers finished the season with a record of 2-7 overall and 2-4 in Class 3A Distict 7.
The first round of postseason play is Wednesday. All games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
The four teams from District 7 who made the playoffs were Williamsburg (8-1 overall, hosting Carlisle), Washington (6-3, hosting Norwalk), Keokuk (5-4, traveling to Pella), and Fairfield (3-6, traveling to Winterset).
