KEOKUK — Southeast Conference girls golf was back in action on Thursday night at Keokuk’s Elks Fairview Golf Course.
On a chilly and windy night it was yet another fantastic showing for the Panthers of Mt. Pleasant. The Panthers not only had two top five finishers, which included the meet champion in Kylie Walderbach, but also took the team title with their first sub 200 score of the year, 196.
Washington finished fifth with a score of 228 and Fairfield posted a 291.
Host Keokuk and Fort Madison tied for second with a pair of 203s. Burlington carded 214.
For Mt. Pleasant, following Walderbach was sister Sophia Walderbach with a 46, that was good enough for third. Vivian Cornell finished with a 52. Elaina Holtkamp posted a 55. Ashlynn Beauchamp ended with a 60 and Felicity Metcalf shot a 61.
Washington was led by Maci Williams, who shot a 49. That was good enough for seventh. Also for the Demons, Natalie Prochaska shot a 57. Lauren Hinrichsen ended with a 59. Presley Hora closed with a 63 and Lucy Sands had a 65.
For Fairfield, Savannah Hollander finished with a team-high of 57. Jacey Harris posted a 71. Olivia Hollander carded a 73.
Southeast Conference girls golf will be back on the course on Monday at Mt. Pleasant’s Invitational.
