Mt. Pleasant girls' golf ties with Keokuk in SEC meet
The Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team tied with Keokuk on Tuesday afternoon, 211-211, at the Keokuk Country Club as Natalie Booton turned in her lowest score of the season for the Panthers.
Booton shot a 5-over-par 41 to win medalist as Keokuk's Shelsey Stanley was the runner up medalist with a score of 44.

The Mt. Pleasant girls' golf team tied with Keokuk on Tuesday afternoon, 211-211, at the Keokuk Country Club as Natalie Booton turned in her lowest score of the season for the Panthers.
Booton shot a 5-over-par 41 to win medalist as Keokuk's Shelsey Stanley was the runner up medalist with a score of 44.
"A tie is pretty unusual but as we talk about all the time, every stroke counts so you have got to try your best on every swing, no matter how you are playing," said coach Jim Kelly. "It was great to see Natalie shoot her lowest score of the early season with an outstanding 41."
Courtney Mabeus trailed Booton with a 53, followed by Lindsay Dorn with a 55. Morgan Barton shot a 62, as Danika Christner and Mackenzie Notestein added scores of 62 and 67, respectively.
Mt. Pleasant's next meet is on Monday, April 18, at Washington, starting at 4 p.m.
