Mt. Pleasant girls’ hoops holds banquet

MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant girls basketball team held its end-of-year banquet on Monday night, celebrating the end of the 2025-26 hoops season.
Panther head coach Curt Watson served as show-runner, giving out end-of-season awards to seven different players.
The team MVP this season was Paityn Ensminger. The junior finished the year scoring 6.7 points per game and pulling down 5.7 rebounds per game this season.
Seniors Abby Carthey and Kynlee White earned a couple of big awards as well. Carthey was named Offensive MVP, while White took home Defensive MVP honors.
Emma Humble was given the Most Improved award. Kaylen Hunold and Delanie Hourihan each got Coaches Awards, and both Myah Starr and Ruby Syfert came away with Panther awards.
The Panthers finished 4-18 this season, and took sixth in the Southeast Conference.
