Mt. Pleasant girls' soccer routs Centerville in season opener
With a 5-0 lead at halftime, the Mt. Pleasant girls' soccer team rolled to a season opening win over Centerville on Tuesday, April 5, 9-0.
The Panthers found scoring from six different players as Florencia Leunis, Erin Watt and Holly Long each scoring two goals in the win. DeAnn Scott, Allie Liechty and Sarah Pieper each scored once against Centerville.

With a 5-0 lead at halftime, the Mt. Pleasant girls' soccer team rolled to a season opening win over Centerville on Tuesday, April 5, 9-0.

"The defense of Leah Boughton, Hannah LeBlanc, Mila Argueta, Megan Schneider, Nicole Sandoval and Kathryn Chabal was solid and did not allow a shot on goal the entire game," said coach Ed Chabal.
Mt. Pleasant travels to Ottumwa on Friday, April 8, for a game starting at 4:30 p.m.
