MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant girls tennis had a stellar showing on Monday night against Fort Madison.
The Panther dominated the Bloodhounds 8-1 in the matchup. Mt. Pleasant won five individual matches and all three doubles matchups.
Bethany Drury and Audrey Richmond were both 8-0 winners in the one and two’s matches.
Halaina Crane finished with a 8-1 victory in the No. 3 match as well as Lila Cook in the No. 5 match. Hannah Villaplaza was an 8-5 winner in the No. 6 match.
The Panther’s lone loss came in the No. 4 match as Zoey Carlsen fell 8-5.
In double’s Drury and Richmond were 8-4 victors, Crane and Carlsen took the win 8-2, Cook and Villaplaza won 8-3.
Mt. Pleasant has now won back-to-back matches and is 2-5 on the season.
The girls will take on Fairfield on Thursday in their next matchup.
