Mt. Pleasant girls tennis topples Keokuk
Panthers go into conference tournament with SEC win

MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant girls tennis team finished off Soutehast Conference play with a 6-3 win over Keokuk on Monday.
The Panthers had the Chiefs’ backs against the wall after singles play. Mt. Pleasant scooped up four singles win to get one away from a team victory.
Jana Isanta Vila continued her fantastic season with an 8-1 win in No. 1 singles. Eliana Situmeang picked up an 8-1 win at No. 2.
Bethany Drury scooped up another win for the Panthers, taking the No. 4 match 8-4. Victoria Smith was victorious, 8-3, in the No. 5 match.
Mt. Pleasant won two doubles matches. Vila and Situmeang won 8-1 in the No. 1 match, and Drury and Richmond coasted to an 8-1 win of their own at No. 2.
