Mt. Pleasant golf teams open season
The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team placed third of five teams at the Keokuk Tournament on Thursday, and the Panther boys opened their season with an SEC win over Washington at Washington.

The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team placed third of five teams at the Keokuk Tournament on Thursday, and the Panther boys opened their season with an SEC win over Washington at Washington.
The boys? team was led by medalist Kiley Miller in the win, who scored 38 on the nine-hole course. He was followed by Kyle Kauffman (40), William Kinney (42), Quinn Daniel and Jordon Phomsouvandara (46) and Jacob Smith (50). The team totaled 166 to beat Washington?s 170.
In the girls? tournament, Courtney Mabeus shot a 95 over 18 holes, and Brianne Holtkamp had a 110. The best-shot team of Elle Schleisman and Emily Cox finished at 92, while Haley Booton and Ally Lowe had a 104.
The team scored 411; Burlington won the meet with a score of 380.
