Mt. Pleasant holds wrestling banquet
MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant wrestling team held its end-of-year banquet earlier this month, and a few Panther wrestlers took home awards.
Mt. Pleasant senior Bowen Davis swept the major boys wrestling awards, winning the Varsity Most Valuable Wrestler award, and also scooping up awards for Most Wins, Most Falls and Most Takedowns. He also won the Mat Manning Award.
On the girls’ side, senior Ella McNamee won the Most Valuable Wrestler Award, the Most Wins Award and the Most Takedowns Award. She was also awarded the Mat Manning Award.
Zenlynn Lee, a freshman, spoiled the McNamee sweep on the girls’ side by taking home the girls’ Most Takedowns Award.
