Mt. Pleasant JV football falls to Keokuk, prepares for tonight?s game against Williamsburg
The Mt. Pleasant JV football team fell to Keokuk by a score of 23-14 earlier this week, and plays its final game of the season tonight (Thursday) against Williamsburg.
In the game against Keokuk, the Panthers scored six points in the first quarter and added eight in the final quarter, but fell short of a win.

The Mt. Pleasant JV football team fell to Keokuk by a score of 23-14 earlier this week, and plays its final game of the season tonight (Thursday) against Williamsburg.
In the game against Keokuk, the Panthers scored six points in the first quarter and added eight in the final quarter, but fell short of a win.
Joe Stubbs, Jr., had four carries for 19 rushing yards and one touchdown for Mt. Pleasant. Andrew Rumley had five carries for 27 yards.
Beau Parkevich was five-for-14 passing for 85 yards with one touchdown. He also threw a two-point conversion pass.
Spencer White was five-for-11 passing for 44 yards.
Matthew Pounsavan had two catches for 23 receiving yards, one touchdown and a two-point conversion reception.
Cole Phillips had a 39-yard catch. Ben Canby had four catches for 28 receiving yards.
Clayle Franklin had five punt or kick returns for a total of 101 yards.
On defense, Noah Brown had 11 tackles for the Panthers. Tyler Ruby, Tyler Lanphier and Austin Smith had nine tackles apiece.
Pounsavan had seven tackles and an interception.
The team is 2-6 on the season.
The Panthers will host Williamsburg at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex tonight at 5:30 p.m.
