?We had a huge weekend of basketball, starting on Friday night (Jan. 13) against Fairfield,? Lange said.
Mt. Pleasant beat Fairfield, 41-26.
Hannah Becker led the Panthers with 11 points, Kelsey Smith had 10 points, and Natalie Myers finished with eight points.
?Abigail Feldmann stepped up her defense and had some key steals down the stretch,? Lange said.
On Saturday the Panther girls played Iowa City Regina, and Mt. Pleasant won, 59-26.
?From a season standpoint, this was the best that we?ve played all year,? Lange said. ?We really came together as a team and put up some numbers.? Kaitlyn Johnson led the team with 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Natalie Ita finished with 13 points.
The team?s next game will be Friday when they host Keokuk.
?The first time we played them, we lost by three,? Lange said. ?It?s definitely a game we could have won, but we let it slip through our fingers.?
On Friday, the Panthers will try to even the score with the Chiefs and extend their winning streak to four games.
