Mt. Pleasant seventh grade girls take two wins over Ottumwa
OTTUMWA ? The Mt. Pleasant seventh grade girls? basketball team traveled to Ottumwa on Monday, where the ?A? and ?B? teams maintained their undefeated records and the ?C? team dropped its third game of the season.

OTTUMWA ? The Mt. Pleasant seventh grade girls? basketball team traveled to Ottumwa on Monday, where the ?A? and ?B? teams maintained their undefeated records and the ?C? team dropped its third game of the season.
In the A game, the score was tied at 10 at the half, but the Panthers added seven points in the third quarter while holding Ottumwa scoreless to break open the game.
The Panthers won the contest by a score of 25-12, and the A team is now 4-0.
Sarah Moffett had 14 points in the win over Ottumwa. Bailey Johnson added six points, Rylee Amos chipped in four and Abbie Liechty scored one.
In the B game, the Panthers tallied 30 points while holding Ottumwa scoreless throughout all four quarters.
Lauren Stewart had 10 points, Lexie Little contributed eight, Kirsten Fry added six, Callie Liechty scored four and Allison Buckert added two.
The team is now 3-0 on the season.
In the C game, Ottumwa ran to a 24-6 victory and the Panthers dropped to 0-3 on the season.
Amiiee Keomonivong, Olivia Oetken and Brooklyn Fraise each had two points for Mt. Pleasant.
The girls will play again Thursday, Feb. 2, at home against Aldo Leopold. The games will start at 4:30 p.m.
