Mt. Pleasant summer runs begin June 14

MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant cross-country team will start summer runs on June 14 at 7 p.m. The first run of the year will take place at Saunders Park by the swimming pool.

The runs will take place at 7 p.m. at Saunders on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the runs will be at 6:30 a.m. at the Old Threshers Museum Theatre.

The runs will continue until the middle of August.

“These runs are a great way to run with others and get in shape now for the season,” said Panther girls cross-country coach Lyle Murray. “There are paces and plans for any runner depending on level of experience.”

The runs are available for runners from grades 7-12. Murray says parents should know coaches may not be present at every run, but that upperclassmen do a good job of hosting.
