Mt. Pleasant baseball had keen eyes at the plate on Wednesday night against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
The Panthers swung their way into a 13-5 victory over the Rockets.
Mt. Pleasant notched four extra base hits in the win including a pair of homers.
Payton Walker opened the scoring in the top of the first frame with an RBI single. Walkers night was far from finished in the box and he did work on the hill as well.
In the top of the third, the Panthers added five more runs, which included a two-run home run from J.C. Sitar.
Garrett Cook drilled a two RBI double and Ben Newton got himself an RBI single.
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont marched back into though scoring five straight runs in the fourth to make it a one run game at 6-5.
Walker delivered once again, crushing the ball over the fence for a solo homer run.
Newton tallied another RBI single in the fifth to make it 8-5 after five.
Mt. Pleasant went on to add four runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh to end it.
For Walker it was a big game, as he reached base in all five trips to the plate. He also threw a complete game on the hill.
The Panther improve to 6-8 on the season with the win.
