Mt. Pleasant, Washington, Fairfield girls golf competes in Solon Regional
Panthers, Demons and Trojans season ends in 3A Region 4 tournament

SOLON — Mt. Pleasant, Washington and Fairfield girls’ golf headed North Wednesday traveling to Solon’s Saddleback Ridge Golf Course for the Class 3A Region 4 final.
The tournament marked the end of the season for all three of the Union area squads as none could notch the top two finish.
It was Fairfield leading the area squads, finishing ninth with 413 points. Washington followed in 11th with 418 team points. Mt. Pleasant rounded out the invitational in 12th with 419 points.
Xavier won the tournament with a low of 321. Solon took second with 338 points.
Leading the Trojans in the regional final was Ella Bentler. Bentler finished 31st in the meet with a 96. Savannah Hollander shot a 100 for 37th. Lucy Kuehl ended 49th with a 106 and Olivia Hollander golfed a 111 for 53rd.
For Washington, Maci Williams was the highest placer. Williams was also the highest individual finisher out of the Union area. She shot a 92, good enough for 21st.
Lauren Hinrichsen closed with a 101 and a 38th place finish. Lucy Sands shot 111 for 52nd. Natalie Prochaska ended with 114 for 57th and Presley Hora placed 60th after shooting 118.
As for the Panthers, Kylie Walderbach led the way with a 28th overall finish after golfing a 95 through 18 holes. Ashlynn Beauchamp finished with a 102 and a 40th overall finish. Sophia Walderbach followed in 51st with a 108. With a score of 114, Felicity Metcalf placed 56th and Vivian Cornell shot a 126 for 65th.
Xavier’s Mehar Julka and Meera Julka were the meets medalist and runner-up with a 72 and 73 respectively.
