Mt. Pleasant wraps up season at Washington

The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade volleyball ?A? team defeated Washington by scores of 21-11 and 21-8 to end its season with a record of 7-2 on Monday.

The ?C? team also beat Washington, while the ?B? team split its match and the ?D? team split with Washington as well.

In the A game, Mt. Pleasant was led in serving by Chloe Beavers, who went 9-for-9. Ashlee Menke was 8-for-8 and Dani Broeker finished 6-for-8. Mikayla Beason went 5-for-6; Kalynn Batey went 5-for-7, and Jackie Fraise was 2-for-3 serving.

Mt. Pleasant won, 21-7, and lost by a score of 21-16 in the B match. They finish 0-5-4 on the season.

Julia Pross was 7-for-8 serving and Chi Glaha was 7-for-10. Ashley DeKraai was 5-for-6.

The Panthers took the C match by scores of 21-9 and 21-18. Keri Herr was a perfect 11-for-11 serving and Sydni Wilson was 8-for-9. The team went 5-1-3 on the season.

In the D match, Mt. Pleasant won the first game, 15-12, before falling in game two, 15-8. They went 0-3-3 on the year.

Nicole Schlatter went 7-for-9 serving and Samantha Alexander was 3-for-4.
