MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant senior Angel Avila signed his letter of intent on Wednesday to play soccer for the Warriors of Waldorf next fall.
For the Panthers in 2023, Avila played in six games, starting four, and accumulated one goal on the pitch.
Avila has been stellar in the midfield for the Panthers, carding two goal and two assists through his career.
Last season, the Waldorf men finished 2-14-1. Avila will be looking to help the Warriors improve upon that record.
As for Mt. Pleasant this season, the Panthers will be hoping to usurp their 4-10 record from a year ago.
The Panther will begin that journey on March 28 with a home matchup against Clear Creek-Amana. Southeast Conference play will begin against Fairfield on April 4.
